Registration is open for Mission: Possible 2024!
Mission: Possible 2024 is coming up on Saturday, November 9 at Knox, Third Church and various other locations around Cincinnati. This is an opportunity for all ages to come out and serve the community in a number of ways, as we are called to do! This year Mission: Possible has expanded to include seven different options, so there truly is something for everyone!
Registration is now open at this link. Sign up now to reserve your spot. Because of the number of outside agencies involved, registration is required by November 2. Volunteer spots for each opportunity are limited, other than the events at Knox, so don’t wait! RSVP’s are also required for lunch back at Knox afterwards and for childcare, which is available even if the parents are volunteering off-site.
Here are the options you can register for.
• Ronald McDonald House: Team up with the chef to prepare and serve brunch to families staying while their children receive care at Children’s Hospital.
• Freestore Foodbank Bea Taylor Market: Assist clients in selecting groceries and restock shelves.
• New Life Furniture Bank: Build tables from salvaged wood for newly housed families receiving furniture and household items.
• Projects at Knox: ALL AGES are welcome to pack food boxes for Childhood Food Solutions and hygiene kits for various Knox mission partners as well as to make wreaths for our homebound members (which may be done seated).
• Gardening at Hauck Botanical Garden: Work with the horticulturist to prepare the beautiful grounds for winter.
• Cincinnati Reuse & Recycle Hub: Care for our environment by accepting and sorting donations.
• Cleanup at Third Church: Help our partner church spruce up their building and grounds.
Be sure to register by NOVEMBER 2 using this link.
Can’t attend on the 9th? You are invited to pack specific hygiene kits for Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, which will be distributed to victims of the recent hurricanes. Drop off complete kits at the church by November 9 and we’ll ship them out. Click here for the specific list.
