Our biggest mission day of the year is coming up on Saturday, November 8! Everyone is encouraged to share their gifts in some way. There are options at 8 different sites, covering all ages, a variety of interests and an option to be done seated. Whether you like to cook or garden, assist clients or work on a farm, sort donations for non-profits benefitting the environment or gender nonconforming youth, spiff up building and grounds or pack stuff – there’s an option for you!

Times and age requirements vary by site. For all off site options, spots are limited and advanced registration is required by November 2. Be sure to sign up for lunch and childcare, too!
This week’s highlight: Fun on the Farm! All ages are invited to Tikkun Farm, an urban farm in Mt Healthy committed to “the sacred work of restoring people, community, and creation” by providing a safe space, food support, job training and more. After a tour of the farm – including meeting the alpacas and potbellied pigs – volunteers will get work caring for the animals, the grounds and the facilities or whatever else needs to be done! This is a very family-friendly option.
Can’t join us on November 8? Consider donating Kids Kits in advance, which will be distributed through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance to students affected by climate disasters. CLICK HERE for the list of items. Complete kits may be left on tables in the Michigan Ave lobby and outside the Social Hall by November 9.
