Alium Spiritum, a classical vocal quartet founded by former Knox Choir assistant conductor Sean Taylor, will perform new music composed by members of the group, including “The House on the Rock” based on inscriptions by Douglas Stahlman found in Brookville PA’s Scripture Rocks Heritage Park, Lara Alami’s “We Can Do Small Things with Great Love” with the words of Mother Teresa, and other new and traditional spirituals, classical, and folk music in the Knox Sanctuary on Sunday, July 28th at 7:30pm.
The concert will feature soprano Diane Walters (Brownsville, TX), alto Lara Alami (Detroit, MI) Daniel Parks (Williamsburg, VA), and Sean Taylor, (Brownsville, TX) and is offered to the public free-of-charge thanks to the continued support of their individual and corporate donors. No reservations are required.
Donations collected will benefit the Earl Rivers Commissioning Fund (knox.org/ercfund).
Founded in 2018, Alium Spiritum, Latin for “different breath”, is devoted to making music relatable to audiences and the community through purposeful, intimate concerts.
