The Good Friday Readers Theater Passion Play, Hope Rises, by Scottish playwright Suzanne Loftus, is taking shape. A cast of 12 plus nearly two dozen behind-the-scene workers have been rehearsing, creating costumes, settings and much more for the past few weeks. The play tells the story of immigrants through the eyes of Christ’s Passion, and includes characters like the wife of the apostle Matthew and the mother of apostles John and James. This readers’ theater version of the play will be part of the Good Friday worship at 7:00pm on April 18.
