Knox Elders & Deacons
Elders and Deacons are members of the Knox congregation who are elected by the congregation and ordained to serve three-year terms in leadership roles in the church community. The Knox Church office can help you contact any of the elders listed below.
An Elder is a member of The Session who is committed to strengthening and nurturing the faith and life of the congregation. Beginning with formal training in a relational style of leadership, Elders maintain Knox’s vision and mission by leading the church’s decision-making on these Committees.

The following hospitality ministries are ministries organized by our Knox Deacons – they welcome you to participate! If you would like to help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere on Sunday mornings.
Ushers/Greeters provide a hospitable welcome to everyone who enters the doors of Knox church on Sunday mornings and other occasions.
Welcome Desk Ministry provides a welcoming presence at the front desk on Sunday mornings, answering the phone and helping worshipers find their way in the building.
Communion Preparation: these teams offer hospitality by preparing and cleaning up the communion elements on communion Sundays.
Welcome Hour/Lemonade on the Lawn: The Knox Deacons organize our coffee hour between services during the fall/winter/spring and Lemonade on the Lawn in the summer – refreshments and conversation!
New Member and Visitors: Helping visitors and new members to feel at home and find connection.
