The Trillium Quartet is made up of violinists, Sommer Altier and Judith Kim, violist Sydney Link (former Knox member and Walnut Hills alum!), and cellist Amelia Smerz. Friday’s program will include pieces by Felix Mendelssohn, Jessie Montgomery, and Caroline Shaw. There will be a small reception in the Knox Room following the concert with light refreshments.

Formed in 2024, the Trillium String Quartet is a rising force in chamber music, known for expressive performances and exceptional musicianship. Its members have performed at Carnegie Hall and worked alongside renowned artists such as the Attacca Quartet and Béla Fleck, and trained at prestigious institutions including McGill University, the Cleveland Institute of Music, and Mannes School of Music.

The quartet has held residencies at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Montclair State University, served on faculty at Kinhaven Semester School, and earned recognition as semi-finalists in the Plowman Chamber Music Competition. They are currently on a multi-state concert tour across the U.S

Admission is free; donations to help support the performers are encouraged but not expected. Children of all ages are welcome.
